Here is some people would enjoy the process of building and
fixing things, rather than maintaining them. I am one of this kind of people.
We were always asked by different people, ‘Did you know what you wanted to as a
career in the future?’. And me, I always
wanted to be a business consultant and provide professional consulting services
to any firm or client that is searching for any better way to improve their
business. I was just reading this article on Slate : Management
Consultants Can Save the World and it
has reminded me the reason that I am interested in this industry and want to
enter the consulting career path.
I am an optimist and always has one faith in my life : No matter how bad the situation might be, “If there's a will there's a way.” It just takes dedication and hard work to succeed. I believe every firm which facing difficulties should have a solution to solve their problem, they just need to find a new and better ways of doing things, and I always want to be that person to help them and therefore use my interest, practical knowledge and expertise to shape a better modern.
Here's come to different reasons that makes me want to become an business consultant,
1. Variety
One of the most appealing aspects of management consulting is the huge variety of projects I’ll work on, colleagues I’ll work with and clients I’ll meet. Due to its nature of varied and often frequently changing projects, I can rapidly involve in different industries, functional areas, and even geographies and so that I can explore myself in different experience.
2. Network
Joining a consulting firm is one of the quickest and most effective ways to build a vast and valuable network. I will work with multiple clients and stakeholders through the course of the different projects. This will allow me to build relationships across multiple organizations that can turn into job offers, other consulting engagements, or even into mentorships.
3. Learn about different industry
Because the projects are fast-paced, there are numerous opportunities to get exposure to how different teams and companies work.I will experience a variety of industries and typically working with different aspect of experts. I get to learn quickly from those who are more experienced and will find myself becoming a “quick expert” in all kinds of fields.
4. Develop valuable transferable skills
One of the best parts about working in consulting is that I gain transferable skills that I can take to any job in the future, making me a valuable job applicant and employee across the board. Problem Solving skill, communication skill, project Management skill, to name but a few.
I'm sure blessed to be able to have chosen my future path in the Business development consultant.It's a field that lets me use my knowledge and passion to create the change that I want to see in the world.
